Smaller Recycling Areas possible

The space needed for a recycling area serviced by a collection system utilising a Palfinger truck mounted forklift can be relatively small for the reasons that less space is needed to empty the recycling container and smaller containers can be used.  The large benefit of being able to operate smaller recycling sites is that it offers the chance to operate more recycling sites in an area and so bring recycling closer to public and therefore increasing the chance of recycling participation.

Increase Recycling Rates

More recycling sites reduces the mileage to travel to recycle and enables recycling material to be dropped off while en route to another destination (e.g. to the shops, work, school) rather than having to make a specific trip.  This increased ease of recycling inevitably leads to higher levels of recycling.
